Scott, this was a very disturbing commercial. I saw it on TV here in Colorado. Though some say that Michael J. Fox did not take his meds that day in order to make this commercial more effective, it is beside the point. Stem cell research does hold much promise. The debate for me is does it HAVE to be from preborn fetal tissue? I think not. The most hopeful results thus far have come from adult stem cells. And then there is also the promise of umbilical cord stem cells.
I am transplanted to Columbus from Potomac, MD- outside the DC area. There are many things to enjoy about Columbus, but I miss the energy and urgency of the big city sometimes. I am a 31-year old mortgage broker, who spent the 4 years before that in retail banking. I went to Allegheny College in Meadville, PA where I majored in Psych and Math.
End of resume...
I value my family and friends very closely. Being an only child, I value the relationships I have made with long-term friends. I follow my heart too much and my head too little, but I am working on that.
